Every 4 years - mandatory energy audit for non-SMEs
Important events cast their shadows ahead: there are already a number of dates on the calendar for 2019. The Women's World Cup in France in June, for example. Or the European elections in May. Alexander von Humboldt's 250th birthday is coming up in August. But what is even more important for all larger companies in Germany in the coming year is that the four-year deadline for mandatory energy audits is coming to an end!
Companies that were considered non-SMEs in 2015 and had to carry out an energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 for the first time will have to do so again next year! According to the Energy Services Act, a repeat audit should have been carried out by December 2019 at the latest.
Is your company one of them? Or perhaps you no longer fall under the SME definition since last year and need to carry out an audit for the first time? Then make an appointment for the 2019 energy audit with one of our certified energy auditors early on. Experience shows that the dates for carrying out an energy audit become increasingly scarce towards the end of the year.
Alternatively, you can implement an energy management system in your company. We will also be happy to help you with this.
To ensure that you are well informed and are not surprised by the deadlines, we have summarized everything you need to know about the energy audit in our information paper on the energy audit.
